My memory card in corrupted

Whenever I boot up Dolphin and start up a Gamecube game it always says something along the lines of: Your Memory Card is corrupted, it needs to be formatted. Even if I do format it, it says the same thing the next day when I turn on Dolphin again. For clarification i'm using the public release of Dolphin 5.0
