Seems to me that nowadays fan are to the max whenever computer starts...I assume this may be the issue but I'm at loss on how to fix it.
And yes, I'm using Vista. But Something went haywire a while back and I can't find what. Main issue being Dolphin.

I would clean out your laptop first. Perhaps a dust buildup is causing increased temps which is causing it to throttle. That laptop should not have the fan running on max rpm all the time unless it is setup that way in the bios config.

Thank you it was indeed a throttling issue. I did as per your recommandation. Still somewhat slow but better. Acer's Gemstone line is famous for this problem. I am trying to solve it further with RMclock as Acer bios is very limited.

I just wasn't sure why you put the dots in there, it usually indicates sarcasm with only one word like that.
