IVy runs hot, that is no shock. Its well know that ivy runs much hotter then the sandy. Its also well know that they dont overclock as well for that very reason. Dolpinh will take much higher advantage form a sandy over clocked then a ivy. Yes ivy is a better chip but sandy is much better when it comes to heat.

use HWMonitor Like John said ( its made by cpu-z ), best app you will ever need. Read that hug article to get an idea where your temps should be. Remember ivy will run hot, that is just the nature of the chip.
Also what board are you using, it may be a bios issue. Some cheep boards will report incorrect data.
