Dolphin v 4.2 is basically v 4.1, they both work on the day you got them but then the next day they crash when I try to play a game and I already tried re installing it and it still crashed.

Use the latest development revision (4.0-511 as of this writing) instead of the latest stable release: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/42619c1d2dfdd5c41e66049397e803b9d65e0283/ It's more "bleeding edge" but may fix your crashing issue.

Can you give us more information about what you mean by "crash"? Also can you post any screenshots or logs when the crash occurs?

You also haven't told us what game(s) this happens with or what your system specs are. Those can be very helpful for us.

I don't think my computer crashes because it's not good enough, how would a $1000 gaming computer not be able to handle this.
I'm trying to play 4 games and none of them work.

I'm having the same problem; this thing just crashes no matter what settings I have. I got the newest dev build and it still won't recognise any games. I have to drag and drop the file every time and then bam, black screen "dolphin.exe has stopped working"

The amount of money you spent is completely irrelevant, not only because it doesn't always translate into how well Dolphin will perform on a system (e.g. Macs are generally expensive, but usually offer low-mid range performance) it also has nothing to do with following forums rules which dictate that you provide us with info like your system specs, the games you're trying to play, and your settings. Please provide them before posting again, since we really can't help you without knowing more than what you've already told us.
