My audio lags and skips?

So, I'm sort of new to the whole emulation thing, but I happen to like this one the best...except for one glaring issue. On every single game I play (1080 Avalanche, for example) the audio seems to lag behind the video. But the weird thing is, in actual gameplay it lags, but then skips back to try and correct itself, making the music and the other sounds in the game a garbled mess. From what I've researched this seems to be a common problem, but I'd love to hear how to fix it...If it can be fixed at all.

P.S: Disabling idle skipping didn't seem to solve the problem.

Here is my computer stuff:
Operating System: Windows 8 x64
Processor/CPU: Intel Core i5-3350p 3.10 ghz
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 620
Memory/RAM: 8.00 Gb

What is your frame rate? If you can't maintain full speed this will happen. There is no fix for it but using open al audio back end mitigates the issue somewhat.

^ This, with a relatively high number of latency (20 ms should be enough).
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

@Xalphenos In the case of 1080 Avalanche my frame rate is around 50 fps. And My Open AL latency is at 30 ms.

Try setting framelimit to audio.

Unfortunately, doing that not only drops my frame rate by about 60%, but the audio still lags behind the video.

Thanks for the idea, though.
