Multiple wiimotes slow down games?

Me and friend just played Wii Sports with 2 wiimotes and game was waaaay faster than few days ago with 3 wiimotes. Revision is same (RC).

Does multiple wiimotes slow down games or it was just coincidence?

Intel Core i7 2600K 2.8Ghz
Nvidia Geforce 570GTX
8GB RAM DDR5
Belkin F8T017 Bluetooth dongle with WIDCOMM stack
OS: Windows XP
