I thought Oreo was the first Android OS to go to the 64 bit OS but like I said, if I'm mistaken I apologise.
I believe the first public version of Android that supported 64-bit was L or 5.0.
But remember, just because it "can" support 64-bits, doesn't mean the manufacturer has enabled it. Google aren't requiring 64-bit software support until 2019.
