I heard that, to play games where you have to point with the remote, you must use a motion sensor(I actually thought the bluetooth did that LOL). Is this true?
And if yes, what do you recommend me?

You can use a real sensor bar from a wii, make one (it's just IR LEDs), or use candles.
What you need it's not a motion sensor. Those games need a piece of hardware called "Sensor bar"
The sensor bar is an array of IR LEDS in a row that are recognized by the IR camera your wiimote has. A homemade solution can be achieved by using two candles (as they emit visible light and IR Light) and placing them within 10 cm Or if you have IR leds (a minimum of 2 are needed) you can use a 1.5V battery and rig a similar device. Just make sure the Long stride of the Leds are connected to the positive end of the battery Btw Common leds will not work, only IR leds. And make sure you don't use more than 1.5V as you'll burn your device unless you use a resistor and appropriate wires. 05-03-2010, 08:16 AM
Thanks for the awnsers! So. I need or a sensor bar or a homemade device... I was thinking of a sensor bar. Will a wii one work? Through a wireless connection? Or did I got something wrong?

Or did I got something wrong? Sensor bar doesn't connect to any device at all. It just emits infrared light so that the wiimote may triangulate it's relative position and distance from it. Even a candle emits infrared light so they can be used as a 'sensor bar'. There are many videos on how to easily set it up. No need to even watch a video really, just set 2 candles 30cm apart from each other & enjoy. 05-04-2010, 07:57 AM
The candles worked, thanks!
And to think that if I knew more about chemisty I could had done this myself...Thanks anyway. |
