Thanks for the suggestion (it's amazing that we're seeing a PS3 emulator!!), but I think I'll just stick with what I have- by the time I'll need to upgrade my PC (which isn't used solely for emulation) there will be infinitely more powerful, portable and diverse hardware on the market.
