Hi, All!

First, I would like to say that Dolphin is a great emulator. I'm more than happy from the progress of it during the years and it's endless possibilities.

As an MK fan, it's amazing to play the 128bit MK games on PC (something we could not imagine 15 years ago). However, there seems to be a degression for some of the graphics, esp for MKDA. Please, check the below screenshots for example:

Notice the artifacts around the clock. They are also all around the text in the game. The only way to have the game displayed normally is using Software Renderer, but the game runs really slow using that mode.

I remember in earlier versions, it was displayed properly:

Is there are a reason why it has been changed or a fix to make the game displayed properly?

Thanks.

You've turned on an enhancement that is causing it. Try turning off enhancements until you find the one that causes the issues with the clock. My guess: Anisotropic Filtering.

This can probably be fixed by turning off enhancements like anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.

Hi, guys!

Thank you for the replies. Can you tell me how to turn off anisotrpoic filtering? I can only use 1x and above:

In addition, the movies/fmv cannot be displayed. I noticed in the configuration settings it mentions "Needs real xfb for the videos to work". Can you also let me know how to enable that?

Thanks.

Setting anisotropic filtering to 1x means that it's disabled.

Hmm... If anisotropic filtering at 1x doesn't help, maybe you could try lowering the internal resolution to native? I can't think of any other problematic enhancement you could have turned on.

To set Real XFB, go to the Hacks tab, uncheck Disable under "External Frame Buffer (XFB)", and change from Virtual to Real (unless Real already is selected). Aside from fixing video playback, this will force the output resolution to be the native GC/Wii resolution, making it mostly pointless to use an internal resolution that's higher than native.

Thank you, JosJuice!

After turning real xfb and set the internal res to native, everything is displayed properly. Much appreciate your help! Smile
