Hi! I'm new. Just tried Dolphin this morning and it rocked!
I had some difficulties in the beginning, but after some tweak I found out that these two things helps speed up the emulator:
- Updating to the latest NVIDIA driver.
- If you have dual monitors, disable one.
My example, I have a core2duo CPU and a 8600GT GPU on WinXP SP2.
- I ran Dolphin at first and played Tales of Symphonia and I got around 8 fps.
- It was sad. I tried to update to the latest NVIDIA driver and tried again I got 15fps.
- That was better but not satisfying. I disabled one of my monitor and wow I got 60 fps!! I couldn't take that! More than I can think of!
So I just want to share some experiences that updating to the latest NVIDIA driver does help. And if anyone has dual monitor/lcd, you should definitely disable one off!
