Did you try mapping each button to the corresponding button for the classic controller? It's what i've done.

You dont have to swing. Thats weird. As i startet my Monster Hunter Tri with configured Classic Controller it was automatically assigned to controller layout "Classic Controller Style 1".

Thats the one where you just push buttons (imho the best one) and the one that the previous monster hunter versions used (PS2, PSP).

So, after you configured your classic controller go ingame and choose the "Classic Controller Style 1" layout in the controller options.

Do you mean "fast" running/sprinting? You can only sprint whithout your weapon drawn. You have sheath it first. R1 is the sprint button.

And yeah, you have to use the DPad - sorry i played the monster hunters on my PSP, its the only way i know to play this game and never had any problems with it. Just claw the dpad + analog stick infight : )

(i don't know if this is possible with a 360 pad, i'm used to psp and DS3)

Edit:

You can use the right analog stick too to change the camera.

Did you sheath your weapon? And as i said, just map them to the corresponding buttons on your pad. R1 from the classic controller to RB from the 360 controller etc.

from the dolphin classic controller config window:

L = L Bumper
R = R Bumper
L-Analog = L Trigger
R-Analog = R Trigger

I've maped ZL and ZR to the analog sticks (when you press them down, don't know if thats possible with a 360 controller).

Edit:

Just to make sure: You are looking for the classic controller mappings, right? Not the WiiMote + Nunchuck, yeah?
