Hi

I would like to write a patch for a specific game. I don't really have much game programming experience, and no emulation at all, but I think I can pick it up. I just need to know

a) If it's possible
b) Generally where to look.

I have just bought a Nvidia 3D Vision 2 kit and am enjoying the gorgeousness of 3D.

In New Super Mario Bros though, there is absolutely no depth in the individual levels - can play it with glasses on or off no matter how much I increase the depth.

The overworld, and menus, are beautiful 3D where in the levels, not even the "HUD" overlays have any depth.

Is there a way to patch this with Dolphin? Or is it Nvidia's fault.

Thank you

It's the game's fault, more than likely.

By the way, if you have the 347.52 or newer drivers, there's now a "Dolphin Emulator" profile in them. There's a bug (or whatever that's called) that kills performance in 3D, taxing the GPU twice than what it should. I talked about that in the Stereoscopic 3D thread: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-stereoscopic-3d?page=8

There I explained how changing a value in the Dolphin Emulator profile you can make 3D work only when it's enabled in the Dolphin options, and performance is corrected.
