...that Miyamoto could retire? Unfortunately Men are not eternal. They must leave one day (from their own or not). But their acts remain. The posterity Wink

Or just someone who likes Miyamoto Wink Btw not a lot of comentaries about Miyamoto's eventual retreat. A lot of people knows Mario (and appreciate him or not) but ask around you and you'll see they don't know Miyamoto (except in Japan I guess Big Grin)

I kinda understand what he's doing, he doesn't want to be so important that must stress a lot. Working as an average dev again with little projects will let him work with what he likes (games) and won't make him feel like the Video Game industry is lying on his shoulders. Imagine that pressure, I know that the guy is a genious and he must know that too, but I'd be scared to death to screw up on every game in his place.

He was a good game designer but ever since Nintendo gave him a general management position he's been making a lot of stupid decisions (advocating the virtual boy, hiring Aonuma, insisting all new mario games be in 3D, etc.). I think he would have been better off staying as a game designer, he's just not a good project manager. I also think he has a bit of the "George Lucas syndrome" where everyone around him turns into a yes man since his early creative work was so good they just can't see how he could possibly make any bad decisions. I can only see good things coming from this.
