I don't understand why you're getting only replies from trolls or people who obviously didn't read your question correctly. I have the exact same problem with Master Quest on Dophin 3.5. In-game save does not work.

I have found no solution for this...however,

the only other advice I can give is to try the GameCube Zelda Collector's Edition disc from '03. It has Zelda 1, Zelda 2, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, a 20 minute demo of Wind Waker and some random zelda retrospective movies. It isn't the Master Quest, but I suppose if you finished OoT all the way thru, you would reveal the MQ. And the best part is the saves work. And for some reason I prefer the controls.

Good luck.

Wait, is this really an issue? I never played long enough to save and check. If so I will absolutely fill out an issue report for you guys.

Investigating now.

Edit: Unable to reproduce, went in game in 4.0-589, saved, reloaded the game, save was there just fine.

I don't think you really read the thread correctly. I realized his in-game saves weren't working, which is why I recommended using save states as an alternate method of saving his overall game progress. :/

What's more, it's far from trolling to suggest that the OP use an emulator (PJ64, Mupen64Plus) that has less issues than Dolphin, especially since Nintendo conveniently put the N64 ROM on the disc for this game.

At any rate, this issue is apparently solved in the latest revisions. The key is to not use outdated Dolphin builds such as 3.5.

I tested this; memcards work fine in both Dolphin 4.0 and latest master.

This is probably user error or stubbornly using old builds.
