missing save files

hi i recently updated to version 5 from version 4 of dolphin and all of my save files for my games are gone, both gamecube and wii. i cannot find how to restore them or even find where they are. i was redirected here from reddit, heres the post i made + additional info if it helps: https://www.reddit.com/r/DolphinEmulator...&context=3
