When I load the Configure menu the only option I have for a graphics plugin is OpenGL, which runs sluggish on my machine.
I read through the stickies on the board and tried looking for a response from google but I didn't have any luck. I thought for a second that you had removed the plugin because it seems you are no longer supporting Direct3d. What struck me as odd is that Plugin_VideoDX9.dll is in the folder, as well as Plugin_VideoOGL.dll And secondly when someone else on my network runs the software from my machine the Direct3d plugin is available to him.
I am running an ATI Radeon HD5770 with an AMD Athlon 7750 and I have the most recent version of Direct X 11 and CCC from AMD's website. I have Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. I was running both Super Mario Galaxy and Twilight Princess.
My friend is running an ATI Radeon HD4870 with an Intel Q8400 and has the most recent version of Direct X 10 and CCC from AMD's website. He is also running Windows 7 Ultimate running the identical ISO's directly from my hard drive.
My dxdiag shows that Direct3d is enabled and working properly and the program runs with the OpenGL plugin, but from what I have been reading and what I saw on my friends machine the Direct3d plugin offers superior performance for an ATI based machine.
It is obviously an issue with my PC since running the software located on my hard drive on another machine will allow the plugin to function properly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
