What games are you trying to run?
Only the most lightweight of games can run at fullspeed on the K1, an example being Crazy taxi

Dolphin is a dual-core program, so the faster the single-threaded speeds of a CPU, the faster Dolphin runs.

The quad-core K1 is the current fastest mobile CPU (until the dual-core K1 comes out), but it is still very slow compared to desktop computers. The Zelda games and Digimon are too demanding for it to handle at fullspeed.
