If you can afford, get:
* a Core i5-3570k * Z77 MoBo for overclocking * decent CPU cooler * a decent GPU (e.g. Radeon HD 68XX) ![]() 08-06-2012, 02:12 AM

do ram and hertz make a difference or is that just supplemental
Price range: $250 to $350 Quote:350$Guess this laptop will be ok for the op 350$ is not enough for a decent desktop (with a graphic card) anyway Since 1.5GHz CPU is too weak , you will need k10stat to overclock (Google "A6 3420M overclocking" , you'll take the risk though) If you can save up more like 700$ , forget laptop then build a decent desktop Laptop: Mini PC :: 08-06-2012, 02:40 AM

It might be better to go with the refurbished K53TA with the discrete HD6650M. The reason I say "it might be better" is that you never know what condition the refurbed unit will be in when you get it. I've heard some horror stories. Anyway, it costs a bit more, but the HD6520G alone in the other laptop is garbage.

Are you willing to build a desktop?
That would save you a bit of cash. Otherwise, be prepared to spend upwards of $400. Or get a laptop. ![]() http://www.directron.com/barebone-computer-3.html Select these options: *Assembly Options? : Assemble Barebone and Options [1 to 2 Days to Build](+10.00) *Add Add Processor : Intel Pentium G630 2.7GHz 5GT/s Retail(+62.99) *Add DDR3 Memory : One 4GB 2x2GB DDR3 1333 Patriot PSD34G1333KH(+19.99) *Add SATA Hard Drive : One 500GB SATA 3.5in OEM Western Digital WD5000AAKX(+69.99) *Add PCI Express Video Card : Radeon HD6670 1GB PCI -E 2.1 XFX HD-667X-ZHF3(+73.99) This is a great deal, as an example. Should play many less demanding games at or close to 100 % Plus, the GPU can do up to 2.5x native. (1680 x 1050, roughly.) Should set you back about $370. Assuming you already have a monitor and some sort of OS. (Directron is legit, they are owned by Yahoo!.) I can go lower if you need me too. 08-06-2012, 05:33 AM
