Unfortunately ...

I think going own the i5 4670k road will push my budget up something rotten...

I might stick with the A10 6800k instead... I can always then buy a dedicated GPU down the road if I feel it's lacking and get a bigger case.

The A10 should be okay for just running Dolphin games okay, I'm not too worried about it being like 16xAA blah blah top settings.

Nice! Thanks for that, I guess I'd need a cooling fan too.

You don't need it for now
The Intel Stock Cooler is inside the CPU box , Stock thermal compound is applied on it
But if you need an aftermarket cooler to overclock :

That Be Quiet PSU, that'd fit the Sugo SG05W case?

That cooler looks great, not too expensive either... All in all I could do this build for about £400 give or take.

It'd be a nice machine, with these specs it'd run dolphin and games at decent settings?

It should do. It's much more powerful than the proposed A10 rig.

Also, I'm glad to see I've finally convinced someone of the excellence of Scan if you live in the UK, even if they aren't from the UK themselves.

By the way, if you can get to the Reebok stadium in Bolton, their shop is a couple of hundred metres from there, so you could pick it up. This would save you the £5-10 postage.

Alternatively, if you make several helpful posts on Hexus's forums, they give you lifetime free postage at Scan. Don't abuse this by posting nonsense, but if you're willing to give up some time, and actually answer people's questions, then it is probably a good idea.

It will . That Be Quiet 300W is a SFX PSU
Sugo case requires SFX PSU
But if you overclock CPU , you will have no wattage left to add a powerful GPU .
350W (+£3) should be ok for i5 4670k OC + AMD 7750

Scan is amazing, I've used them in the past.

I dont think I could get to Bolton from where I am down on the South Coast.

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm looking forward to working on this build over the next few months.
@AnyOldName3 I've just seen your specs, how do you find the machine to be?
@admin39, cheers, I'll have to look at some benchmarks for the AMD 7750 Smile

I've not started any Dolphin yet, and I've not overclocked yet, so can't say much. It works in what I've used it for.
