I've been looking about, would an 4670K be a lot better than the A10 6800k?
I'm guessing I'd need dedicated cooling on it as it'd run hot when OC'd, I don't think I'd need to OC the A10 6800k.

Aargh, now I'm thinking of other CPU's, my budget would go up a fair bit that way and I'm really trying to keep it down!

Again I must ask exactly how much space you have for this thing. Have you measured it (the spot where you want to put this thing)?

Micro-atx chassis are only slightly bigger (2 inches greater height, width, and depth) but are much more flexible in what you can do with them and much easier to work with. Get one if you can.

And stop calling it micro-itx. There is no such thing as micro-itx. You're going to confuse people by using that term since you could be referring to micro-atx or mini-itx depending on which word was incorrect.

A 4670K would be a lot more expensive and would require a graphics card (adding even more cost). But it would produce a very substantial speedup. Probably a good 75% increase in cpu performance.

Like I said earlier you're not going to be able to OC it. A mini-itx build will restrict you to using the stock cooler regardless of which cpu you pick. And on top of that you won't be able to get a mini-itx motherboard that supports overclocking a 4670K. If you want to OC you need to go with micro-atx or higher.

CPU performance alone : i5 4670k is 1.5 times as fast as A10 6800k
Integrated GPU of i5 4670k : Intel HD 4600 is somewhere between Nvidia GT 430 and GT 440
i5 4670k can run most demanding games full speed while A10 6800k is out of the question for those games (even if you overclock)

Thanks guys, sorry for the mini/micro mess-up, I'm not really paying attention to what I am writing.

I might just go for a bundle and then add in what I need from there...

I think that this works out to be around the same price (minus PSU and Case) from what I was looking at.

Yeah I noticed, I was looking at the Antec 300 case... it'd have to sit next to my TV instead of under it...
