My issue was with power saving c states, what does that have to do with locking threads?
Anyways like I said before, if I turn of c3 and c6 I can leave hyperthreading on with no issues.
Because of the suggestions of others I decided to do some more testing and found that it still isn't smooth with no overclocking and speedstep disabled.
With c states on the fps drops even though it shows 60 vps and 100 percent speed.
Can anyone else with a similar cpu (i7 2600k) test this out?
