I am making some higher rez textures for One Piece Unlimited Adventure and notice that the games fps drops at times when a a texture loads up in game. My textures are 1024 by 1024 or less. Here is my rig:

64 bit Windows 7
Intel core i5 2500k processor @3.30gh
Nvidia 560 ti
8G of ddr 3 ram

Are there any setting that will help to load my higher res textures more smoothly? Any help is appreciated, I do plan on releasing the textures eventually.

Edit: I am using the directx 11 plugin.

Are you using the openCL texture decoders?

Are you using the openMP texture decoders?

@ryancollins

This particular game has horrible bloom in DX9 and Opengl.

@NaturalViolence

I am using opencl but am not sure were the OpenMp is in the menu. Lowering the textures resolution does help but there is still stuttering when they load. Otherwise the game runs fine. I am using R6914 because it is supposedly most compatible with the game but I am going to give a newer revision a try.

directX up to date?
are your texture resolutions the same as the original or are multiples of 2?
are the textures exported with the same settings as the originals? (do the original textures have alpha and yours don't? etc)

(some of the problems i had when i was texturing RF Online)

you could ask the guys on the Hi-Res Texture thread for more info, they might have a better idea

That's probably why. Also the reason you couldn't find openMP is because it only exists in very recent revisions.
