The emulator crashes when you return to the village from completing a quest or from free hunting. So I guess R4830 is the only build to use for now. I just did the quest where you have to kill a bunch Jaggia. In area 6 there's 6 or 7 of them, my fps drops to 26 with R4830. With R5030 in that same area my fps stays at 30fps.

I tested it with the Jaggi quest, there are constantly 12 Jaggi's in the Center zone (on screen), don't remember what zone number it was, but it was that breeding cave. I have a stable FPS of 12 with 4830 there and 11 FPS with 5392. Once I enter that zone, the FPS drop to that point and stay there, theres no actual slowdown or increase over the time until I leave the zone.

My specs once again:
AMD X2 6000 (2x 3,0 GHz)
3 GB RAM
Nvidia GTS250 1024 MB
Windows 7 32Bit

I suspect my slow harddrive could be the issue, it only scores 5,6 on the Windows 7 Benchmark test.

i had similar issues, when you get 6+ monsters onscreen things start to slow down. it would drop down to 15 fps, but never below. i discovered that the jap version of mh3, and the english demo both average about 10 fps higher than the english release. also, running 4830x64 on windows 7 x64 got me about a steady 5 fps improvement in all situations over vista x32

hmmm, and there's no game config that can be added onto the [OnFrame] that can fix the crash??so then the goal is to get later version performance and pair it with 4830's playable emu right???

The USA Demo runs better for me too, almost at 85-90% speed most of the time for me during fighting, even in crowded areas. I guess we have to wait for a proper release. Angel

I'll try x64 sometime, I didn't knew it would make that much of a difference.

It doesn't mean it's staying at 30 FPS, it means once I enter that specific zone, the FPS will drop to a point and stay there constantly until I leave the zone (This means I can enter a zone with 12 Jaggi's and my FPS drops to 11, even if you can't see them). This means each zone will be rendered fully, regardless of what you can see or not, every loaded mesh and texture will be taken into account. I believe to prevent stuttering on the Wii?

I think that's probably zone 6, but I only get 7 Jaggi there. Another interesting area is 4, the dark cave. There's something about that area with all the flying bugs. My fps drops to 25 there with R 4830 and 28-29 with R5030.

I find it questionable, it's probably just a cracked demo since the filesize matches 1:1 to the demo.
