guys i'm just curious what makes the latest build for dolphin to be unable to play the game...instead we had to change wii language system to spanish or french???although it takes us thru the first menu, but then again some people experiencing the game crashing between char creation and when we want to return to the village...

what makes the latest build had this crash and the older (4830,working but occasionally slow on crowded area)??

is someone interested on fixing this issue??

A ghetto fix would be using Wiiscrubber to rename *_eng.* to *_fre.*, makes it work flawlessy on all revisions. But there is a regular fix already here somewhere I believe.

I haven't gotten more FPS or making it more stable with the latest rev though than using 4830.

Here you can see a small portion of the files on your rom, since it only runs with either FRENCH or SPANISH, you just rename X_eng to X_fre and replace the files. (By using WiiScrubber)

Since my native language is german, I replaced it with the german files.
Looks like this now.

Both are running with the same settings and save. Spellforce's revision runs faster with 1-3 fps.
(Using German in Spellforce's rev makes the game still run in English, but I didn't bother scrubbing a new ISO to english just to waste another hour)

You are correct, however you can't do it in Dolphin, thats why you have to use WiiScrubber (I don't know any other tool). Then you just extract all the english files, rename them to fre, like you explained, then you right click the file in Wiiscrubber and press replace -> ok. You can also just extract & replace them without renaming, but then you have to pick the file yourself in the open file window.

Hey thanks that renaming trick works like a charm. I can play the game with r5030 now, which is faster for me and I can use ssaa.

Actually, there are a lot more files that could be renamed and replaced because some of the stuff is still in French. The Quests and buy menus are still in French, for example. Directories 04 and 05 seem to have the rest of the files in there.
