When I attempt to connect with vba and mgba both emulators just lag infinitely. I left them both on and went for a smoke and neither connected. I obviously have the bios and have read most of the information available including the one posted in this article. Since there's no discord I gotta ask here I guess?

Don't know about Celebi (assuming you are trying the Japanese version of Pokémon Colosseum), but I have managed to get Jirachi from the Bonus Disc. However, Pokémon Emerald specifically is not normally compatible with the Bonus Disc, so that will not work. As for Ruby/Sapphire, I created these instructions for reference. Eventually however the connection issues may be fixed and this may not be needed anymore: 1) Set controller Port 2 to "GBA" in Dolphin emulator, then load Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc. 2) Load Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire in mGBA with GBA BIOS enabled. 3) Set both emulator windows side-by-side for ease of navigation. 4) In mGBA, under the emulator's File menu choose "Connect to Dolphin...", and connect with local host. 5) Reset the game in mGBA, then pause emulation at the end of the BIOS animation (right after the 'ding' sound, with the logo still on screen). 6) In the Bonus Disc, select Jirachi Gift option and press 'A' throughout instructions until it waits for GBA connection. 7) In mGBA, unpause the emulator and wait for connection attempt. 06-22-2021, 04:58 AM

I am trying to connect the mGBA to dolphin to play Pac-Man Vs., but when I boot up the connection, both screens just freeze when connected! I have downloaded the DSP LLE files in my GC folder, but my screens still freeze, so maybe the audio isn't the problem. I can't use the latest version of Dolphin to make it easier for myself because my type of computer doesn't have an update that requires the latest version. I am using a MacOS, and my latest version is: OS X El Capitan, update 10.11.6. With my latest version, i can only use the 5.0 version of Dolphin. Again, I am trying to play Pac-Man Vs.. What do I do to fix my problem wit my connection?

It sounds like you're using the old stable version, which doesn't have a built-in GBA emulator (though it still connects with VBA from what I remember). If possible, you should manually download the latest beta of Dolphin (5.0-16380 right now) from the download page, as it is far more up-to-date and has the Integrated GBA emulator. This will allow you to connect the games without fiddling with internet ports and stuff. Ever since my last post in this thread, I realized that the Integrated GBA is way more stable, compatible and easy to work with. 06-01-2022, 06:12 PM

If you are going to continue to use that version, you need to use vba-m. Some instructions for how to use this are here. Note that you'll probably need a version of VBA-M from around the same time as 5.0 for this to work, as newer builds (last I heard) will not work at all due to changes on their end. If you are able to, the best thing for you to do is update your macOS version. Then you can use the latest Dolphin versions with the modern features, such as mGBA connectivity. ![]() AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 22H2 | (details)

I finally got Pac Man Vs. to work! So the DSP LLE files don't really work when using mGBA, so I switched back to VBA-M and the game works! Thank you!

Hi there someone's know if exist a branch of Dolphin-Emu, just a specific version just for emulate correctly The Four Sword Adventure for GameCube.
The First is because i had test all version of Dolphin, and the latest version of Dolphin can connect multiple GBA are the 4.X Branch, becuase if you use the 5.X Branch, for reasons i don't know, just connect the first player. ![]() The Second reason is becuase when the GBA Emulators with Cable links are connected, to Dolphin, cause a several Slowdown on FPS. ![]() The Process for Connect GBA To Dolphin using Emulators are (i prefer use VBA-M because is more stable by now) : 1 - Open Dolphin 4.X-### 2 - Open The Zelda Four Swords for GameCube 3 - Go until the Screen need you connect the GBA Consoles 4 - Open the « Controller » Configuration, chance « Standar Controller » by « GBA » 5 - Open the VBA-M or mGBA can support Link Cable [ Configure Controls, and disable « Pause when window inactive », you must set the controls. 6 - On the GBA Emulator, Run The BIOS 7 - Connect to specific IP and put the address 127.0.0.1. [ For unknow reasons almost never work when i choose "Local" Option ] 8 - Now you can play. Contras : 1 - Many Windows just for Play 1 Game 2 - Several Slowdown, i make a test with a friend, without connected emulated GBA, the game FPS are 60, when the 2 Players are connected, the max fps are : 10, we need 2 hours and 15 mins for finish the first level because the slowdown fps. Dunno : Exist a version of Dolphin modified just for this game ? Input : Something like some buttons for Gamecube have exactly the same input for GBA on the controller plugin Video : modified version of Video Renderder to Rendered Window put max 4 Mini-Screen with the 1x GBA Scaled but not from another emulator. |
