I know, I know, its old but i just want to play it and i finnaly have a computer able to emulate MP1 reasonably well. but i want to know if i can do better.

first of all the specs then ill talk about the performance

OS: Vista Ultimate (32-bit)
MB: ASUS M2N SLI
Cpu: AMD Phenom™ 9500 Quad-Core processor, 2.21Ghz.
Mem: 4GB DDR2 (800mhz)
GPU: Ati radeon HD 3870

i can play the game with dx9 plugin with the lowest resolution at about 35-40 frames in tunnels and small chambers with about 25 fps in the Chozo ruins main chamber.

Im using Dolphin SVN 4253M compiled by unknownforce with the usual setting like

enable dual core, idle skipping, unlimi jit cache
and Framelimit on 50 and Watchdog on 40.

Setting is the dx9 plugin render to main window (640x480) no enhancements or advanced settings

So this is a message for people that want to see if they can run MP but my main question is there any setting u might reccomend to me for speeding things up a bit more. I mean if i could hit 30 fps in big chambers it would be TEH win :]. anyhows just share ur Watchdog setting with me or mb advice me on some other settings which i thought unsignificant.

Oh one more thing i read somewhere taht u could best close explorer and other windows services u dont use using a .bat file and "Game booster" but i have no idea if this will affect much.

share ur thoughts and comment back on me :]

Update to 4255 (Or to the latest one since it removes the D3D blackborders)
For me, 4255 boosted my performance IMMENSELY in Metroid Prime 1

D3D indeed is faster, like 25-35%, though scan visor crashes the game (at least for me) r4264
Specs: intel i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz;
16Gb RAM; Raedon HD 7900;
Win8 64-Bit

And could any of u 2 give me a link to the emu :] cause i dont know which comiler i should go with... oreleans released a few with broken dx9 plugins and i have one from unkownforced dled yesterday but already out of date by 2 revs :O... damn this emulator is HOT :]

Watchdog does absolutely nothing for me in Metroid Prime, so I just keep it at 60

And no, I never had visor crashes. I just picked the Double jump boots, so I don't know if I will find that problem later on

yeah i tried but now i dont know if it works cause the game seems choppy because of the emulator. i think its because it does not have unlim Jit cache? or is this just plain BS? :]

btw how cpu intensive is brawl? i mean i just wont rip about 3 hours for nothing :] cause im getting a bit overzealous cause MP1 works so good right now on a not THAT good of a cpu

ps.: i see our helpfull little friend got banned :O wtf... u know why hansen, ow and thanks for the fast replies.
