In certain areas of all three Metroid Prime games, the background of the map screen would flicker or would just turn black when it is supposed to be constant with the other areas of showing a blurred background when displaying the map screen.  This only happens in D3D12, OGL and D3D11 are unaffected (haven't tested Vulkan yet due to lack of XFB support).  Can someone look into this?

D3D12 is currently not being worked on. The person who originally implemented the backend has disappeared and none of the current graphics developers are willing to tangle through the mess that is the semi-finished backend.

Stenzek did take a look at it and fix a bunch of bugs before giving up; you could try this build - https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/4094

Is there any chance that PR will be merged into master?

That's a damn shame because d3d12 is by far the fastest backend. Even without exclusive fullscreen, it still wipes the floor with the other backends.

With your hardware you don't even need the D3D12 backend anyways. Just use GL.

I still need it for demanding titles like the conduit, conduit 2, boss fights in ghost squad, etc.
