Hi everyone. While updating a few textures with some minor fixes I also decided to update the health warning messages and the intro Nintendo/Retro Studios/Dolby Surround logos seen at the beginning of standalone Prime 1 and 2. As I noticed that the health warning in the PAL version of Prime 2 has a website link to the European Nintendo customer service in the texture I decided to check out the US versions of both games as well.
This led me to the discovery that both US versions of Prime 1 and 2 on the GameCube weren't using any of the HD texts of this texture pack as they are using completely different textures. In Prime 1 they were missing all the European special characters like ä, í, ú etc. while Prime 2 actually uses the text layout of PAL Prime 1. This means that both US and PAL Prime Trilogy versions are based on the PAL versions of standalone Prime 1, 2 and 3, as those all worked out of the box when I tested them after only doing the texts dumped from the Trilogy.

As I already did US Prime 3 earlier this year I only need to do Prime 1 and 2. I have already finished Metroid Prime 1 and have started work on Prime 2. However, as Bighead's texture tool doesn't work for US Prime 2's textures I am currently going through almost 300 text textures by hand, and this only includes all the texts encountered up until the first save station. EDIT: Luckily despite the US textures being slightly different Bighead's script does actually work for them as well, yay!

It is tedious work but if everything goes well I should have a new version of the pack ready by the weekend.

I updated my previous post where I talk about Bighead's script not working with the US textures but it actually does. It was yet again a great help in dealing with Prime 2's massive amount of text textures. With the NTSC texts alone the next version will have over 1.000 new textures, including ones I have missed in the PAL version of the Trilogy (still haven't got them all though).

I'm just testing and polishing the pack now, I should have it ready later this day. :-)

Version 1.6 is now online. The most important change as stated above is that both US versions of GameCube Prime 1 and 2 now also have updated texts. I have also found that the PAL version of the Trilogy was missing some button textures, standalone PAL Prime 3 now has updated menu texts as well and more. You can find the full changelog in the OP.

Because of the massive amount of files required for the US version of GC Prime 2 I have also started to sort the text textures into different folders based on the game and the region for this release. This allows users to delete the texts for a game version they don't play to save some disk space.

Again if you experience any issues report them here and I'll look into them the next time I find some time. Have fun. :-)

I have found this just after the new Primehack 1.0.2 release. I quickly registered just to say that it looks fantastic so far. What a Christmas present for an old Prime fan, I really love the community. :-)

Will there be an update to the PrimeHack KB/M textures to resemble to current defaults? Or will they stay as the custom binds that they are right now?

Sorry for the late reply, Dolphin Forum didn't send me an e-mail notifying me of your comment despite being subscribed to this thread. They will probably stay this way, I may offer an optional "Rockets" button that I will put on either the R or F key for people that don't have mice with side buttons but that's it.
I may also try to update the pack to make use of Dolphins new dynamic input feature for custom button mappings but then it will most definitely only be for controllers as I already stated my concerns about keyboard mappings here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-introducing-dynamic-input-textures-a-new-feature-for-controller-icons?pid=515064#pid515064

Also a heads up:

A user on the PrimeHack Discord server had trouble getting the extra textures of this pack to work, more specifically the PrimeHack keyboard and mouse buttons. After a bit of throwing solutions around it turns out everything was working correctly on his end and he simply didn't know that the PrimeHack keyboard buttons included in this pack didn't work on the GameCube versions of Prime and Prime 2 as those games weren't supported by PrimeHack when I first released the pack last year.
When I have the time for another update I will include keyboard and mouse buttons prompts for the GC games as well.

I want to know: Is this hud widescreen or is it only 4:3? In other words, does it fill the whole screen in widescreen/hd or does it not like the regular hud? Also, is it dds or png?

This is just a texture pack which makes the individual HUD elements look sharper, if the HUD displays in 4:3 or 16:9 depends on the game you play. If you play the GameCube versions of Metroid Prime 1 or 2 then the games will display in 4:3 (if you want to play them in 16:9 aspect ratio then check out the specific game pages on the Dolphin wiki for some workarounds as this isn't solvable with texture packs - Prime 1 , Prime 2), Metroid Prime 3 and the Trilogy already display in 16:9 as they were released when the 16:9 format was a lot more common.
You can download either a PNG or DDS version of this pack depending on your preferences, download links to both versions are in the OP.
