I'm currently playing through Metroid Prime and whilst both OpenGL and D3D11 backends are playable I just ended up wanting to try the Vulkan backend as well. However after starting the game and it being done compiling the ubershaders it throws up the following error:

"Warning

An error occured.

Line: 410
File: ShaderCache.cpp

Ignore and Continue?

Ignore and Continue?"

Pressing either Yes or No crashes Dolphin.

This is on 5.0-6274 (latest dev build as of today).

That looks like it failed to create the pipeline.

I'd guess either a driver bug, or out-of-memory situation.

Make sure you have the latest graphics card drivers (from the vendor site, not just windows update - often they're quite a bit older and buggier than the latest), and make sure that it's using the expected GPU (and not the iGPU on a laptop or similar)

EDIT:

Also, if you're using nvidia, make sure you don't have MSAA enabled in the control panel - that is known to break dolphin.

I always have the latest GPU drivers since I'm keeping it up-to-date through Geforce Experience.
Tried forcing the Nvidia Graphics card through the control panel for Dolphin but it didn't work.

Found the problem: It's DolphinFx that it tried to use even though I hadn't selected it... Removed it and now it works again.
