Metroid Prime issue

Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue with Metroid Prime on the Nvidia Shield TV using Dolphin 4.0-7202 and 4.0-7328. When I launch the game, it crashes after it displays the Dolby Digital Pro Logic II splash screen with the error: "Panic Alert: Invalid read from 0xbe2ce174, PC=0x80006970"

Other games work fine, and play smoothly. I'm assuming it's something with my configuration, as many others have no problems with MP1.

I installed Dolphin 4.0.2 on my laptop running Win10, using the same rom, and it works.

Any others run into this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I've tried 5.0rc8, and around 10 different builds of 4.0 from the last 2-3 months.

It would be a CPU core issue. Metroid Prime is a game I haven't ever tested.
No way to work around the issue.

Thank you for the reply!

Is it specific to my CPU cores, or the Tegra X1 on the Shield Android TV in general? There's a video on youtube of Metroid Prime running smoothly on the Shield Android TV.

Anything else I could try?

Looks like they are running that with a really old 32bit version.
The issue is a bug specific to the CPU emulation core inside of Dolphin, not the hardware itself.

Same exact issue and same machine here. Please support Metroid Prime! It's only considered one of the best games of all time....
