Metroid Prime crashing at start menu

I did look through the stickied thread for Metroid Prime in the Games Index, but could not find a solution that worked for me. I am 100% certain that this is not a hardware issue. You can see my up-to-date specs on my profile, but I'm also attaching a full CPUID .txt report so that you can know everything you would ever need to know about my computer. That said, I'm sure it's an issue with my settings. The default settings did not work, I fiddled around with them and could not get the game past the start menu. It's almost like I'm on a countdown. After pressing start and being presented with the game file select screen, everything will freeze and crash after a few seconds. If I'm fast, I can start a new game, but it will crash after the same period of time. Could anyone give me the recommended settings for my system? I don't HAVE to play at max graphics, but I'm sure my computer could handle it if I just had the right settings.

Update to latest dev build: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

And make sure the ISO is not corrupt.

Well that worked, kind of. It still crashed, but the dev build actually told me what was wrong. OpenGL backend would crash the same exact way. Direct3d would crash immediately when loading, but it gave me a helpful error message. If you have an NVIDIA card, select the Intel Integrated driver from within Dolphin, then add Dolphin to your list of NVIDIA games from the NVIDIA control panel externally. Booyah, up and running now.
