Just saying "Ryzen" doesn´t tells us anything. Sure, Ryzen has way better performance compared with its predecessors. But there are too many models out there (likewise for the Vega GPUs. Which one was? Vega 8? Vega 10? RX Vega 56?). It´s better to be specific.

For instance, the last one I mentioned has a higher score than the 1060.

Unfortunately, PassMark doesn´t have a lot of info on details about the RX Vega 56.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

My Framerate drops massively when the "gunsmoke" effect happens ( shooting the beam very fast until it heats) and i am sure that this effect is the direct cause of the problem. I am fairly new with dolphin and have no idea what i can do about it. Has somone an idea how to fix this ?

I know this is an old question but I was having the same issue even on Build 5.0-11863. What worked for me was switching to the Ishiiruka build (v1102 currently). No more drops on that effect nor the one when saving in the ship!

I don't know how the Ishiiruka build gets around the problem but hopefully it's something that can be merged into the mainline Dolphin

Cheers

Well, I spoke too soon. Inexplicably, every time I play the framerate gets worse on these effects. The rain near the end of the game is particularly brutal. Really not sure how this can be explained, I don't see anything in the log :\
