Hi. This is my first attempt at running Dolphin and I can't seem to get past the screen that says my memory card in slot A needs formatting. I click the option to continue without saving but it doesn't do anything. ( using the enter key)

I have seen other people in videos run Metroid prime. My system specs are:

A dual core Pentium 4 @ 3.00 Ghz each 4 gigs of ram (ddr2) on win xp 32 bit, an ATI 512 MB ddr2, 2600 HD Pro video card.

BTW, how does the dolphin memory card thing work? Does it simulate a memory card?

You need to format memory card if it's your first time playing a game.

Thanks for the answer!

I also found out that The Enter key didn't make the changes I wanted until I found the PAD configuration. Now I know that:
a = x
b = z
x = c
z = d
start = Enter
But.. I do not know what the defaults mean. What do the A, B, X & Z buttons do? (Start/Enter is self explanatory) I need to know their functions so I can remap them because I don't like playing on this side of the keyboard.

AH! Please don't answer. I found out! I got the game manual from replacementdocs. Seems they have tons of gamecube manuals.
Which reminds me...I think I will post a message about this to help other newbies out :-)
