METAL GEEEARRR (Psychomantis plus controller problems in Twin Snakes)

So i made it to Psychomantis and i looked up how to do the controller port thing for dolphin. But whenever i do it, as soon as i move around in the second port, it keeps opening the right trigger weapons menu! AND I CANT LEAVE! Now it does it on the first controller port as well. Please.

HOW DO I FIX MY CONTROLLER PORTS



P.S. Im using the official nintendo game cube adapter if that provides any info
