Metal Gear Solid Twin SNakes Escape Route Machine Gun

hi guys this game has been working perfectly but now at the end in the escape route when you get into the jeep first you have to blow some barrels to clear the way but i cant seem to aim the barrels no matter what i tried going into first person mode too but it doesnt aim downwards what should i do
