What is currently the best build of Dolphin for this game?
My specs are:-
Intel Quad Core Q9650 3Ghz
4GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 9800GT 512MB
Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate

I was gettin faster fps with some of the slightly older revisions but the new ones - the game is running unbearably slow about 20 odd fps in game! Any suggestions?

Yeah, this game is being slowed by the FIFO changes. You can either try r6571 or wait for a new revision next week. A FIFO speed fix is expected real soon now.

Yeah you were right about revision 6571! Thanks !!!!

Though could someone upload this revision of dolphin or another revision which is just as good with the analogue fix for the controller applied? Will save me some time - thanks in advance!

Using JITIL should fix the analogue controls.

Hey guys, when you play MGSTTS are you getting past the Darpa Chief cinematic? I get a crash stating:

"ERROR: Trying to recompile at 0. LR=00000003"
I hit "Ok", then:
"IntCPU: Unknown instr 01000000 at PC = 00000008 last_PC = 812fffc8 LR = 00000003"

Which is essentially definitely something to do with the CPU. My current system specs are fairly similar to yours AVFC2012, they are as follows:

Intel Core2Quad Q6600 3Ghz
4Gb DDR2 800Mhz Dual Channel RAM
nVidia GeForce GTX 260
Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

I can understand what the error is saying, and it's definitely something with the CPU, can you guys let me know if you're getting past the Darpa Chief cinematic and maybe upload a save for me right past the cinematic, or maybe take screenshots or write down your config. Thanks, I loved the original PSX version of MGS, Ive been dying to play the Twin Snakes, the graphics are so much better (especially at 1080p) with AA and AF then the PSX version, I mean, there's no comparison, not to mention the improved MGS2 gameplay mechanics. Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using the r7338 64 bits version and the game still hangs in the darpa chief scene.
The FPS in this version is great, 50 fps most of the time.
Safe texture cache didn't prevents the crash.

Can somenone help me to fix this?
I know that i can skip the cutscene, but MGS without cutscenes isn't MGS.

Phenom II x4 945 3.0 Ghz
2x 2gb ddr2 Kingston
GTS 250 512Mb DDR3
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits

With Revision R7257 64 bits the game do not hang in the cutscene (tried at least 15 revisions).

Tried by cutscene 4 times, i'm too happy.

On R7257 sound sync with video in cut scenes? Show your dolphin configuration, please.
