Not necessarily

Well I attempted to use LLE on thread once recently and it crashed in a short amount of time, so I assumed it was not as stable until they gave it attention, hence 3.0-415.

It has been improved indeed. It worked before though

I tried it (3.0) again just a while ago and it worked just fine. Maybe that crash was just a fluke and doesn't happen too often.

In my experience, LLE would use 100% of whatever core it put it's thread on, which was really annoying. It still worked better than not having it on thread though. But after skid's commit, the usage dropped to 60~70% on average (sometimes a little lower) and it was noticeably faster in games that needed LLE, nothing incredibly significant, but the difference was obvious enough to me. 07-27-2012, 07:32 AM
I wish I knew how to compile these builds so I could patch in the "lower LLE on thread usage" commit (3.0-415) straight into 3.0. Whatever they did to later commits really slowed this game down in some areas.
