Do you guys have to problem with Snake's movement being messed up; I know that some people have been all the way to Psycho.

that's only with the ntsc version and it's fixed in recent revision, another problem instead is that if you push the analog axis too down you'll go up instead, but that can be resolved by tweaking the radious

I'm using revision 3661 since older ones had broken shoulder buttons; which one do you use?

im starting to think that it cant be done. everyone in here is just talking about their frame rate and all, and not talking about the controller anymore for some reason. its quite annoying.

Psycho Mantis *can* be beaten using the first controller port. It's just takes slightly longer...

I've googled a bit and I've managed to beat psycho mantis
you need to call campbell till he suggest to switch the controller, then die 2-3 times and call him again, and it will say to destroy the head of two statues, one is on the left and one on the right side, you can't destroy them on your own before campbell tells you that

All of you seem to be able to run the game fine, however I can't even get it to start. When I try loading it, Dolphin instantly crashes before anything can show up. Is there any fix for that? Or what settings should I use?

I had the same problem on vista and xp, on windows7 it works fine, it works even on vista on my laptop so I don't really know why
I use this settings
in basic settings enable dual core and idle skipping, in advanced settings enable all, disable panic handlers, use dsp-hle as dsp plugin and opengl for graphics
the opengl config are: 2x, fullscreen, auto scale, 1x asintropic filter
you need to enable safe texture cache so it doesn't crash during the donald anderson video, but I disabled it after that since the thermal goggles were unusable

btw I've managed to get to the end of the game, but during the car section the car goes inside a wall on the left and I can't get any further
