Oh I should have said that I find it the most playable on 3.0 because the newer ones run slower. What I really want to know is if there have been any version after Dolphin 3.0 that runs faster and is more compatible with this game.

I get full speed with 3.0 but its more likely to crash. Later versions however so slow :\

Yup, I agree. I must say that it runs at full speed with D3D9/11(trust this one more), Accurate VBeam emulation checked, and DSP LLE audio. Only thing is the FPS drops during cut-scenes (with or without these settings) which I believe is due to an inferior graphics card (Intel HD Family). I dont get as much crashes during the cut-scenes ever since I used DSP LLE so I will use it any time I play this game. OpenGL does not operate properly with my system. I get all sort of graphics glitches and per-pixel lighting does help tremendously with that, but then the FPS drops too much for my taste.

Skid recommends OpenGL, JIT and EFB to texture for this game. I don't think LLE fixes any sound issues in this game, but accurate vbeam indeed speeds it up. It doesn't seem to crash no more on latest rev/git.

F S M I believe.

I do think it has become more compatible but it is slower now compared to the official 3.0 release. I have tested the latest versions in the same areas that i am in 3.0 and noticed speeds are much lower in the latest revs. LLE audio does prevent the crashes in the cut-scenes and plays smoothly in 3.0 (once it is at full speed). The best way to use LLE is to use the audio throttle (now found under frame limit as just audio) without any sort of frame limit since LLE depends on game speed.

Can anyone help me with setting up MGS TS for my laptop?
I have:
i7-2670QM
nVidia GT55m
6GB RAM

As for dolphin, I'm on 3.0-645 and I'm using Direct3D9, DSP LLE Recompiler.

For me the audio is choppy on everything, even the menu. As for gameplay however, at the beginning its at a steady 50fps, but if you get detected, drops to around 22fps.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Sorry, which settings do you need to know?
And not sure for LLE, I did try HLE before that but that gave me even worse FPS in gameplay

This game has regressed in performance since 3.0 and the compatibility has hardly (if at at all) improved. It has major slowdowns in some areas that were not present in 3.0, specifically during codec calls, starting new/loading game screen, crawling though air ducts, etc. Thermal goggles does not show anymore either, though it was an issue in 3.0 unless I put texture cache to fast (all the way to the right). I get full speed throughout when on 3.0. I wish performance was just as much a concern as compatibility because not everyone can afford to buy a gaming PC. My PC is fairly new since I have had it since January.

EDIT: I have noticed other games having minimum and recommended computer specs but this game does not. I wanted to build a new PC and this is one of the games I will be playing. I also want to play PC games like NBA 2K and other popular titles. Is this computer good enough? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227410) Or am I better off building one? If so, how cheaper will it be?

In the mean time, does anyone know which dolphin revision is faster and more compatible than 3.0 with this game?
