I recently got Doplhin so I could have a weekend of Nostalgia playing Metal Arms.
After encountering a ceaseless error with the new version of Dolphin I began to use an older version: R 6061 x64. This version works and I can play multiplayer. However, the campaign is a new story.
First off, lets start with the Videos. Instead of loading they display either a black or white screen (it depends on the videos). The sound plays, but the videos don't work, their is not picture.
This is where my problems start. The intro video, as you may know, is relatively long. Sometime during it, it changes constantly, the video lags and the game crashes. Their is no specific time that this occurs. My CPU spikes and then the game crashes sometimes. Other times it just stops responding and the sound keeps playing (scratched CD anyone).
Has this happened with anyone else? How can I fix this? I believe that if I can fix this I can get the game fully playable.
Another problem is that, even when I get a game started, in multiplayer or story, the game does not lag. Instead it drops the game speed down to 25-50%. This makes playing the game annoying. Extremely annoying.
Suggestions?
EDIT: One more thing, the game runs really slowly, only about 30% speed. The FPS is about 20-30 but the speed tanks with only a few dropped frames. The Speed variance is annoying. Is their any way to remove this change in game speed?
EDIT 2: I Fixed my problem with the Video. The crashes still occur during it, but changing my settings to the recommended (except multi core) seemed to fix the lack of video.
