While it might not be related to 21st December I got an real itch to see ID4 again.

The history channel has become a complete load of horse shit over the last decade. They are more interested in ratings than history. Most of their current lineup has absolutely nothing to do with history (swamp people, ancient aliens, etc.) and lots of their shows are now filled with crazy speculations about the future/past without any serious evidence to back it up. They constantly try to pass off people who are considered a joke to the scientific community as "experts". They try to get away with it by posing everything in the form of a "what if?" question while flashing exciting images and playing dramatic background music. They have managed to lose every shred of credibility they ever had to the point where "I saw it on the history channel" now causes intelligent people to begin laughing uncontrollably. Then again the same thing has happened to the discovery channel.....and the science channel.....god what do we have left? I made the mistake of watching "through the wormhole" one day a few months ago......so many inaccuracies that were clearly put in there on purpose to make it more "exciting" and boost ratings. I really wish I could find just one good network that makes shows about science or history that actually have some education value, but I guess those days are long gone.

Ha ha really... I'm a sucker who loves the History channel and there's always something funny to watch + the only advertisement they have is for their own shows for one and a half minute.

Pawn Stars, America's Restoration, American Pickers, Ice Road Truckers, Life after People, The Universe etc. etc. is more entertainment then I can handle for one evening.

Other then that it's CSI on Swedish channel 9 or House on channel 4.

But I admit deep down the only reason why I watch History so much is because I HATE ADVERTISEMENT and the other channels we have is full of it.
The only way to survive all these awful advertisements is by recording the shows on the boxer.

Speaking of aliens, there's a new alien invasion movie coming to the cinema here in Sweden next week, The Darkest Hour.
After watching the trailer yesterday when I went to see Breaking Dawn part 1 I can only say that The Darkest Hour may be the alien invasion film to knock down my other favorites.

Man I can't wait...
