memory card issue

so every time i try to play animal crossing this happens:

and the only thing in the gc folder is this:
[Image: mdUSCPK.png]

i've tried deleting things other threads said to delete but nothing works. am i doing something wrong? how do i fix this?

What did you do to fix the issue? People with same issue may see this thread and they will not find it helpful.

i changed the dropdown box for slot A in configurations from 'memory card' to 'GCI Folder'. I'm not a computer or programming expert by any means so this may have been a easy fix idk.
