This may seem like a really stupid question or an easy fix but I need help. I have the lasted version of Dolphin and I've been trying to play Fire Emblem. But I can't get past the start menu because it doesn't detect a memory card. I figure ok I'll just continue without saving and use save states. But I can't even do that because even though I hit no both times, declining to save progress, it sets me back at the start menu. I've gone to the tools menu, selected the MC manager, searched for one, selected the only file option it showed [SRAM], but then it tells me it isn't large enough to serve as a memory card file. Could someone please help me?

There's another gamecube memory card setting here:

Option > Configure > GameCube > Slot A > Memory Card > [...]

Select the MemoryCardA.USA.raw file from the browse dialog.

Try another game. Let the emulator create a MC. Then restart Fire Emblem and see what happens

It did just as you said, I'm starting to think it may be just be Fire Emblem as the same thing continues to happen.

So you tried another game and you now have a MC in your GC folder right?

Hey it finally worked! I'm not EXACTLY sure what was going on, probably overlooked some seemingly small step but Fire Emblem is working along with the rest of the games. Thanks guys!

I probably just guessed about what to do next and lucked out in all honesty. After Star Fox Adventures made a memory card save Fire Emblem still didn't want to work. The Pokemon Coliseum games both made one, then I thought to go back to do what Skid said and there was the .raw file there. Booted Fire Emblem back up and it created a save. Whoo!
