Memory Card Corrupted

I recently reinstalled dolphin and kept my memory card from when I played before, but now when I go to start up Paper Mario ttyd it says the memory card is corrupted and needs to be reformated.
Anybody know what I can do to get my saves back?

Maybe you were using a memory card, but dolphin is now configured to use a gci folder?
