Hi!

I don't know where this post belong so I'll post here. I will be using Zelda WW as an example.

When I play without texture pack, the memorycard work just fine with both quicksave and memcard-save, but when I load high texture pack, the memcard-save for that particullar game gets corrupted.. I played high-res for a while with quicksave and thought everything was fine, until I tried to save with the memcard and it said it was damaged.. I reverted back to the game without the texture pack, and it worked just fine again..

I've had some hours of troubleshooting on this and found out that the reason for this problem is that the texture packs are corrupting the game's "original" memcard-save.
I also tried to create a new game with high-res active, and the save corrupts here too regardless if there existed an original save or not..

TLTR: High-res textures corrupts the memcard-save for that particular game (not other games that are lauched normally), and makes it impossible to save to the memcard

Any advice on how to solve this?

Try not using savestates. I wouldn't be surprised if savestates were screwing things up. If you can come up with a reliable way to cause it, fill out an issue report on google code. Sounds like this could probably be a valid savestate issue.

If this can happen WITHOUT savestates, then it's a much bigger issue, so see if that happens first. If it does, I have Wind Waker, and I'll try to replicate it and if I can, I'll confirm or make the issue.

Hi! THanks for the advice, but I tried this aswell. It corrupts without the savestates aswell if I recall. I will try again when I'm home after this weekend and see. But I really think it's the texture-pack that has the problem here. There is no problem without the texture packs

Probably a silly question, but is it possible to implement the textures and create a new ISO file with those textures implemented? If so, I could stay away from high-res options in Dolphin with a customized ROM Tongue

You could but i do not recommend it. Are you using the latest version of dolphin because they just fixed a issue about wind waker and something about saves.

Still getting this problem. Anyone else have had this tested? I'm planning on playing TP with texturepack

I found a temporary "fix" to this..

1. The savefile gets corrupted
2. Restart the WW emulation and load your previous saved memcard state
3. Once loaded, re-save on your memcard
4. Quickload your savestate again and your memcard should work for a while until it happens again
