Maybe not, but they can be misleading.
Android phones are (slightly pessimistically) designed to last for exactly the time of a benchmark run (a couple of minutes at most) at full speed before throttling. Even then, putting my phone (sd835) based in the freezer at home and letting it cool down below ambient gives it a ~20% boost in 3dmark mobile scores.
Also, with driver bugs and issues, different versions of the dolphin emulator and driver on the device can cause unexpected issues - some specific combinations (even of older versions) may happen to avoid bugs, or hit others, in a way that is pretty much impossible to predict. Even different scenes in the same game may hit different issues.
Android drivers are still the wild west as far as quality is concerned - it's a bit like rolling the dice on if a specific game/device/driver version/dolphin version combination will work well or not.
