The only slight flaw is that (as somebody else mentioned above I think) you have to press the L/R triggers in all the way for it to be detected. HOWEVER, I'm also using Mayflash/GC controller with Project64, and on Project64 it detects the L/R triggers if I only push them in half the way etc, which leads me to believe that the problem lies within some kind of confliction with Dolphin and the Mayflash, or I just have some settings wrong in Dolphin.

Either way, pressing the L/R triggers in all the way isn't a bother for me, and I can safely say that other than that it works with Dolphin (and an official GC controller) perfectly for anybody that may be thinking of getting it.
Sorry if this is a semi-necro or if it's not really related to Doplhin, but I would like to know how you got yours to work with Project64? I bought my own adapter very recently from eBay, and I believe is the newest version of the adapter; except that mine doesn't work in Project64 (Zelda: OoT and MM mainly). It detects the inputs, but it detects them all wrong (I noticed it instantly detects "Rx -" which I believe happens to be the L button but slighty pressed), and the games are simply NOT playable. I'm also using an original gamecube controller.

thanks for any answers Smile
Hi there, I had the exact same problem as you (instantly detected Rx- so I couldn't set anything). To get mine working in P64 I had to download a different controller plugin, called "N-Rage Input Plugin V2" (and then use this controller plugin) and then it allowed me to map my buttons fine, it didn't instantly detect Rx - Smile

I finally got the new version of the adapter off ebay but the drivers don't work. After installing them the controller setup utility changes to show the analog trigger pressure and allows me to calibrate both sticks (which is good), but every time I click "test vibration" the windows utility crashes and says "windows shell common dll has stopped working." Dolphin's gamecube pad setup has crashed a few times while trying to set up rumble too, although usually it stays open and just doesn't respond to any rumble tests. Anyone else have this problem?

At this point I'm not too pleased with Mayflash. Their newer CC adapter also has an issue where the center point of the right stick isn't read right and I can't recalibrate it in windows since it's not recognized as a dual analog pad. Are there any generic drivers I can download for a USB controller that might let me get rumble working on the GC pad/calibrate both sticks on my CCPro, or am I stuck with what Mayflash gave me?

Possibly the drivers arn't updated to work with Windows 8? And is it an official Nintendo GC controller? The disc that came with the adapter worked fine on my system (Windows 7 64-bit).

It's an official GC controller, but it's the newer Wii version in white with the extended cord. The adapter is advertised as compatible with windows 8, 32 and 64bit, but I don't trust anything Mayflash says about compatibility at this point. The rest of the controller works well enough that it doesn't bother me too much, but in retrospect I would rather have gone for a wired 360 pad.

This is weird. Rumble works with project64 while using "Nrage'sDirectinput8v2.1.80" plugin, but still doesn't work with any other program. I know it's capable of working now, but have no clue how to get it responding on dolphin. Any ideas?

In the GCPad configuration, use the pulldown on the top left hand corner to select the "DInput" version of the controller. Then right click the button under the Rumble section and experiment adding the various effects (one at a time) as the rumble type. That should work.

Hi, Nerrel, I have excactly the same problem with you , all things do well except any rumble,I have email the after-sale service and they say they have tested it in windows 8 and works fine , they tell me they will tell their engineers and contact me later .

Have you solved your problem yet ?

Does anyone have any issues with the rumble cutting out after a while?

For me, the rumble seems to work fine initially, but at some point later (with any game) the rumble just stops working, and when I end emulation Dolphin crashes.

When playing Mario Sunshine on a proper GameCube, you if you only slightly press the L/R triggers it enables you to run whilst spraying water, and if you press the L/R triggers fully (so it clicks) you stand still and spray water. With the Dolphin emulator because it doesn't seem to detect L/R triggers unless they are fully pressed in, it means you cannot run whilst spraying water. It's not a massive deal, but just wanted to point out that if the reason Dolphin isn't detecting the L/R trigger sensitivity is because the maker(s) thought that that is how it works on the real system, it's not unfortunately.

For me it is the exact opposite, for when I press L all the way, i can still move around
