I ordered from amazon and got the old version... the box even looked scuffed up and opened. I asked play-asia about their stock and got this reply:
"Dear Nathan,
Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
It is the old version.
Best regards"
No luck there.
I did try it out and got all of the buttons to respond correctly in dolphin's GC pad setup. The analog triggers seemed to be working and the bar for analog trigger lit up red more and more as I pressed them in further, but I didn't have any games to test them out on. I did have a problem playing Windwaker where the controller would intermittently stop responding; it would happen every 10 seconds or so and not register any input for a second or two before working again. I didn't notice the same problem when using the pad with snes9x.
I'm considering giving up on the gamecube adapter and using the classic controller to USB instead so I can use the CCPro. That would be a much better option for emulating snes games and it would probably work better for modern games too, the only drawback is no rumble and it wouldn't be as perfect for gamecube games as the original pad. Does anyone have experience with the CC to usb adapter?
