**My first post bear with me**

So I bought this 3rd party mayflash controller adapter to use my gamecube controllers with dolphin.
Installed its latest V.05 firmware , installed zadiq ( or whatever it's name is ) and everything works fine rumble etc without any configuration after selecting (gamecube adapter for wii u) in the options like the wiki says; but only if my controllers are plugged into port 1 or 2 of  mayflash adapter
Which made me think oh shit! I have to return this p.o.s. half of the ports aren't working.
But after switching it to PC mode I realized that I can map the buttons manually in standard controller mode regardless of whatever port I plug the controllers into,. Isn't there a way for me to just plug my controllers to ports 3-4 of the mayflash adapter in the native wii u mode ? am I doing something wrong ?

Why am I asking this ? After seeing the sort of shoddy build quality of mayflash controller adapter, ( I got this like yday) I started worrying and thought what if ports 1-2 go to shit overtime due to heavy use and I have to use 3-4. And realized that the games don't respond when controllers are plugged into 3 or 4 in native mode but I can map them manually in dinput mode. I only have 2 gc controllers that I can plug in at the same time (so couldn't try what happens when all 4 are in use) .Both usb cables are plugged in here are some pictures

tl;dr mayflash controller adapter ports 3-4 do not work in native wii u mode but , they work in pc/dinput mode after manual configuration I wanna know why

can anyone move this to general support is it controller related ? both of my controllers and the adapter seems to work fine

nope don't have a wii u or know anyone that has one ( ok I know one person but I can't get a hold of him ) kind of a weird problem isn't it
also I am using 5.0-6157 dolphin if that matters, and on windows 10 ( I did not test it on linux coz dolphin just works bad on my system along with many other things )

Anyone found a solution for this ?
Do I have to make another thread ? Maybe in another part of the support section? - feature requests? (if this is not a bug rather a missing feature or something )

My problem is I can not use ports 3 - 4 on mayflash in games that do not support 4 player even though I select port 1 port 2 etc.. in the menu (native wii-u). On 4p games I can use them as p3-p4 slots ofc. If I use the dinput-pc mode, I can do whatever I want (as long as I pre-configure the buttons) and plug them wherever I want
Since this is an emulator shouldn't I be able to plug the controllers wherever and it should read as if they are plugged into 1 or 2 in the native wiiu mode too ( as long as that's what I pick in the menus )

Is this option even supported or am I doing something wrong here ?

I'm not sure if I understand exactly what you want it to do, but the way Dolphin works right now, the native support for GC controller adapters doesn't let you configure which physical slot is mapped to which virtual slot. If you plug a controller into slot 3, the emulated game will treat it as being in slot 3.

Yes that is exactly what I am talking about you understood  perfectly. I wanna plug shit into ports 3-4 and the game to treat them as port 1-2 via menu selection in native mode ( like the dinput method does ). So it's not possible thank you for replying.
It's just that certain games forcing certain ports was bothering me a bit ( this makes other ports sort of useless on all single or 2p games) and I also had doubts about the longevity of the thing I bought ( being forced to use first two ports repeatedly I am pretty sure one of them will crap out eventually )

Any chance this might be implemented in the future ? or is it too pointless of a request to make ?
edit: I guess I'll buy a licensed Nintendo product next time ( if this one dies )
edit2: holy shit reading everything I wrote, I sure do ramble on about the same shit over and over again.

Well native means exactly that: Native, or exactly the way the Gamecube/Wii/Wii U would map the ports, so that means port1 for player 1 and so on, an official adapter wouldn't change that. And I guess that it isn't a feature that you can easily implement in Dolphin because of the way the controllers are wired inside (like P3 in ports is actually wired to a chip in the adaper on P3)

You can stil use P3-4 by just mapping the buttons to the exact spots where they are on the real cube controller... should work without any issues and any lag (pretty sure it's lagless anyway or at least resembling what the GC does)
Check my profile for up to date specs.
